Make sure that ‘Full’ is selected under SSL/TLS settings for the domain in Cloudflare.
All other Cloudflare settings, as of January 2024 at least, should be left as default:
- Automatic HTTPS Rewrites = ON
- Always use HTTPS = OFF
- Brotli = ON

Solution was to disable ‘Delay JavaScript execution’ under WP Rocket > Settings > File Optimization then clear the WP Rocket (and Cloudflare) caches.
(Trying to exclude the Mai Engine files via the ‘Excluded JavaScript Files’ option under ‘Delay JavaScript execution’ with
/wp-content/plugins/mai-engine/assets/js/min/(.*).min.jsand similar didn’t work).
